Is facial surgery painful?
Patients are often pleasantly surprised to discover that facial cosmetic surgery is usually not painful. Pain after surgery can be managed with Tylenol; however your surgeon will still prescribe narcotic-strength pain medication if necessary. It is important not to use blood thinners, Motrin or aspirin-containing products, as they can cause bleeding and can worsen bruising.
